Posted on March 19, 2024 by Charles Yallowitz

This book tends to get lost in the shuffle at times. Curse of the Dark Wind didn’t introduce any new, long-standing characters. Part of this might have been because this was when the game started crumbling. So, I was struggling to move … Continue reading →

Questions 3 and Looking Back at ‘The Compass Key’

Posted on March 12, 2024 by Charles Yallowitz

Legends of Windemere: The Compass Key was an odd book for me to write. In terms of the game, it covers half of one campaign and the entire one after. This meant the previous volume ended on a cliffhanger. I really … Continue reading →

Questions 3 and Looking Back at ‘Prodigy of Rainbow Tower’

Posted on February 20, 2024 by Charles Yallowitz

Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower is the book that really fleshed out the world of Windemere. Luke Callindor and friends had to travel across the kingdom of Ralian, so I had to design the terrain. Cities, towns, rivers, … Continue reading →

One of the hardest things to do with a series is to have a message. This is because you need to play the long game. I mean, you can’t just have it be revealed in the first volume and then … Continue reading →

Revisiting Origins: Queen Trinity

Posted on September 26, 2023 by Charles Yallowitz

Where to even begin with Trinity? Over the course of Legends of Windemere, she has worn the mask of a villain, hero, savior, tormentor, victim, friend, rival, and a few others. I think she’s the most diverse one of the whole cast … Continue reading →

Revisiting Origins: Kira Grasdon

Posted on September 19, 2023 by Charles Yallowitz

Within the pages of Legends of Windemere, one character will always stand out to me as the wild card. The reason is because she was unexpected, but she also developed a really big love/hate relationship with readers. Some seemed to hate … Continue reading →

Posted on April 25, 2023 by Charles Yallowitz

Today we have a section of The Merchant of Nevra Coil where Nyx and her rival, Queen Trinity, aren’t exactly acting like themselves. I loved writing these scenes and was tempted to split this entire book into two in order … Continue reading →

Teaser Tuesday: A Race of Survivors

Posted on February 14, 2023 by Charles Yallowitz

This teaser comes from Legends of Windemere: Path of the Traitors. I really liked writing this book because it allowed me to focus on several secondary characters. This book also helped get a bunch of non-champion characters in position for the … Continue reading →
