Legend of Childhood
Innocence of youth
Freedom and fun at our hands
No warning there was an end
Adulthood
Games tucked away
Money saved to survive
Watch your weight and words
Indulge an urge at your peril
While you forge a cage
Bars of fear, judgement,
And the illusion of maturity
Why is it wrong to play?
To place responsibilities aside
And enjoy a little life
To do so is met with speeches
From those fully locked
Within their dull cells
Games and play are for kids
Adults have work to do
Yet adulthood comes on fast
Being pushed at younger ages
How long will it be
Before childhood falls to legend?

BIG COVER REVEAL! LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: CURSE OF THE DARK WIND!
Debuting December 12th on Amazon Kindle!

Cover Art by Jason Pedersen
After their battles in Gaia and surviving the Island of Pallice, the champions of Windemere are off on their next adventure.
In his quest to be a hero and help others, Luke Callindor has jumped into danger countless times and would do so again without hesitation. So when he is infected by the toxic Dark Wind, it is up to his friends to find a cure and keep his courage alive. With time running out and their enemies in the shadows, one ally will make the decision to share in Luke’s suffering and forge a bond that runs thicker than blood. Such a sacrifice might not be enough when the truth behind this living curse comes to light.
Will Luke find the strength to defeat the Dark Wind? What ghosts from his past will appear during his weakest hour?
About the Author:
Charles Yallowitz was born and raised on Long Island, NY, but he has spent most of his life wandering his own imagination in a blissful haze. Occasionally, he would return from this world for the necessities such as food, showers, and Saturday morning cartoons. One day he returned from his imagination and decided he would share his stories with the world. After his wife decided that she was tired of hearing the same stories repeatedly, she convinced him that it would make more sense to follow his dream of being a fantasy author. So, locked within the house under orders to shut up and get to work, Charles brings you Legends of Windemere. He looks forward to sharing all of his stories with you and his wife is happy he finally has someone else to play with.

Pointless Debate
Opinions differ
A simple fact of living
Among those with thoughts
Beyond the basic needs
Screeching one is right
Does not prove your point
Or disprove what I said
Words become sour noise
Only key phrases to pounce on
As if progress is made
By the loudest and rudest
Nobody looks down
To see they are sinking together
While the middle ground rots
Change of Plan in 2015?
So I had a talk with someone smarter than me, which probably doesn’t narrow the list down. This led to some enlightenment and a realization that I need to do something different next year. It also made me realize something:
This blog was meant to be about my writing.
I do need to market myself to some extent, but not to the point where I’m leaving my entire life bare. Maybe this is part of the social media landscape, but I hear a lot of people believing that everything should be out there. Well, I’ve never been comfortable doing that and I shouldn’t force it. My life is my life and this arena is supposed to be the part where I discuss writing and my books. Not where I rant, reveal family events, and do things that really should remain here. I think I wandered away from the true purpose and 2015 will be about changing that. It will be a 2 step event:
- The blog will focus on writing. I will post weekly excerpts, character chats, my thoughts on writing, and maybe even answering questions. I’ll be retaining the MWF posts with reblogs of sales and debuts because I don’t want to leave my fellow authors in the dust. I will also keep the Goal posts in some form on the weekend and that may be the extent of my personal stuff.
- I will be looking into getting an Author Site. Not a blog, but a professional site that will be updated as progress on the books are made. I really don’t know what I’m doing here since all I know is WordPress blogging. This is something I’ll tackle after the New Year unless I stumble onto a fount of information.
So that’s where the blog and me are standing. There might even be a week or two of relative silence here with only reblogging. I don’t know. Well, back to whatever it was I was doing before I decided to write this.

Cheers for the Bad Guy?
(Pandora is really giving me some odd songs to work with here.)
Cute psycho with a mallet
Mouthy assassin with the body count
Murderous in their debuts
Casual in their sins
Overshadowing the heroes
With antics off the wall
Yet sensible in their minds
We love the whacky madness
Drawing us from reality
Leaving us craving more of them
Until they are the focus
A story is not right
Without a lovable psychotic
That gets altered as a hero
