Fun Teaser from LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: CURSE OF THE DARK WIND! #fantasy #Kindle

A LITTLE BIT OF FUN FROM:

LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: CURSE OF THE DARK WIND

Timoran Wrath by Jason Pedersen

Timoran Wrath by Jason Pedersen

Delivering a friendly smack to the other warrior’s arm, Timoran shakes his head and walks away. He hears Delvin jogging to catch up, the thick drifts making it hard for him to move as quickly as the barbarian. A howling wind whips through the town, traces of the Dark Wind barely visible in the moonlight. The hiss of Nyx’s defensive spells fill the air as the living curse is devoured by fiery strands.

“We shall go to my room to drink and discuss the plan,” Timoran suggests as they return to the central tower.

“Good idea. You can help me come up with a better name for the Cave of Winds.”

“I do not think we are allowed to rename locations, my friend.”

The brown-haired warrior smirks as he says, “What’s the fun of being a prophesized champion if you can’t rename an ancient landmark or two?”

“For the sake of future cartographers, I will drink wild rum and you will have water.”

How Important is Family? (Answered by Windemere Champions)

Luke Callindor–  This is a rather odd question.  Who would actually say that family isn’t important to them?

Timoran Wrath–  There are people like that.  Though you do not usually see them in the role of hero.  Probably anti-heroes.

Nyx–  Family is very important, but it’s different for everyone.  It doesn’t even have to be blood.

Sari–  Guess we’re diving into this topic.  I agree with, Nyxie.  We’re a family even though none of us are related.

Delvin Cunningham–  That’s why we give each other strength and act as each others’ weaknesses.

Luke–  Really?  You’re going with that idea?

Delvin–  It’s true considering what’s happened to us.  Our enemies take advantage of us caring about each other.

Sari–  So, how does a hero counteract that?  It isn’t like we can simply stop caring about each other.

Timoran–  That is true.  Allies are stronger when they are concerned with each others’ safety.  If you only care about yourself then you are more likely to abandon those who depend on you and the entire mission would fail.

Nyx–  We don’t do that, which is why we’re a team.  Otherwise, we wouldn’t be any better than our enemies.

Sari–  Maybe.  There are heroes who fight alone and make sure to avoid personal connections.  That’s rather selfless because it doesn’t put people in danger.

Luke–  So, we all agree that family is important to us and friends can count?

Delvin–  What about friends that become family?

Nyx–  If you even think about smiling in my direction, I’m turning your eyes off, Cunningham.

Sari–  Me thinks the blushing cheeks betray the maiden’s . . . Not funny, Nyxie!  Give me back my eyesight!

Timoran–  This seems to demonstrate the closeness of our family.  Even in the darkest times, we joke and tease to remain at ease.  We share our tears, our smiles, and our lives as well as our destiny.

Nyx–  Yup.  We’re stuck with each other.

Sari–  That we are . . . Now give me my eyes back, Nyxie.

Almost Time to Hit the Publish Button

Only 2 hours before I hit the ‘Publish’ button on LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: CURSE OF THE DARK WIND.  I made sure the right file was uploaded, same with the cover, did all the marketing payments, filled out everything I could to make tomorrow run smoothly, and did the blurbs for Book 7.  I wish I could schedule tweets, but I’m lacking an important piece.  So the only one thing is left before I can do all the final emails and posts:

Get the Amazon Site!

That’ll be in the morning, but it will probably go live while I’m asleep.  So any insomniacs who are into the series can grab it before I even know it’s available.

It is currently listed on Goodreads!

Belay that Order!

The email that went out this morning was an accident!

I was setting it up as a draft, so I would only have to attach the HTML file in the morning and send it to everyone.  Well, I was pasting the instructions from another email and hit CTRL to start that process.  Suddenly, the email went out and I had to send a ‘went out early’ post.  Then I had everything else that I had to do this morning and I’ve been fielding messages.  So here’s the situation:

  1. I WILL BE HITTING PUBLISH TONIGHT BEFORE I GO TO BED!
  2. THEN I WILL GO TO BED!
  3. IT SHOULD BE LIVE BY THE TIME I WAKE UP.  COULD EVEN BE EARLIER SO FEEL FREE TO BUY IT IF YOU SEE IT.
  4. FIRST THING I WILL DO IN THE MORNING IS PREPARE THE POST AND SEND OUT THE EMAIL.
  5. THE BOOK IS ALREADY ON GOODREADS IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED!

  6. SORRY ABOUT THE CONFUSION!

Seriously, I hope this is the only thing that goes wrong.

Darkness of Desire

From Yahoo Image Search

From Yahoo Image Search

He wants her
Willing to destroy all
To claim his unwilling prize
A monster in man’s flesh
Forging nightmares
In his victims’ minds
And reveling in each scream
What will he do to win?
To feel her quiver
Beneath his lurid touch
His plan is set in motion
To capture the key
And rule the one he wants

Things are going to get dark in the series.  Looking forward to the day I write that one villain’s death scene.
