From the blog of Nicholas C. Rossis, author of science fiction, the Pearseus epic fantasy series and children's booksI have a small favor to ask of you nice people: The Rave Reviews Book Club, which you may remember from my earlier posts, is having its annual Rave Awards.

Anyone can vote (not just members), and I have entered my blog in the best blog category. So, if you like what you’ve been seeing so far here, please consider voting for me. It won’t take more than a minute of your time, and it will be much appreciated (playfully batting eyelashes)! 🙂

While you’re there, you may also want to check out the rest of the categories, including best book trailer and best interview. Oh, right: I have also entered the best interview category, as my interview on the shelf with Nonnie Jules, RRBC President, is one of the contenders.

If you have read this far, thank you. If you’re considering voting, double thank yous. And…

Self-Publishing Boxed Set

SELF-PUBLISHING with AMAZON

The paperback edition of my boxed set came out just in time for Black Friday.

So I set the introductory price at $19.99 (a $37 value—that’s what it costs to buy the 4 books separately). Get 4 self-publishing books for the price of 2. (It’s £13.50 in the UK.)

Really, it’s one 628-page paperback (not 4 separate paperbacks in a box), but it does have all 4 books put together.

It also includes bonus material from my blog.

The Kindle edition is currently priced at $7.99 (even less than the price of 2). It’s £4.84 in the UK.

Coming in 2nd place are the Gods of Windemere.  Again, keep in mind that I’m scheduling these posts.  As I type this intro, it is November 1st and I’m going to be tackling the final edits in a few days.  I simply don’t want to forget.  As usual, mild spoilers might be ahead.

Eat, Sleep, Write Podcast: Deconstructing Fantasy Writing with Charles E. Yallowitz

Eat Sleep WriteHope everyone had a fun Thanksgiving.  This is a quick post to let everyone know that I recently did an interview for the Eat, Sleep, Write Podcast.  Click on the picture below as Adam and I talk about creating fantasy worlds.  If enough people are interested then this might become an occasional chat/podcast.

The Lich by Jason Pedersen

The Lich by Jason Pedersen

Another note about something I’m thinking about doing.  Adam has asked if I want to write a weekly, biweekly, or monthly post for his site.  It would be on the topic of fantasy like I’ve done here a few times.  Things like weapons, magic systems, monsters, etc.  I’m still trying to put together a list of topics that I can do and it’s something that would start next year after I get into a groove with my new Legends of Windemere schedule.

So, what do people think of that?
