You know what? I’m going with the meme up there. I have hopes that I will do the following:
- Enjoy as much time with my son as possible.
- Continue working and having fun.
- Publish 2-3 books.
- Write 3-4 books.
- Make headway on teacher certification and a Masters Degree.
- Continue healing from the divorce.
- See if I can do a special project with one or two books.
- Do better with biking and eating better. (I really suck at the second thing.)
- Might want to finish that outline for one of the Sin books . . . I’ve gotta name that series at some point.
That’s really it. I’m going back to bed.
A great list. All the best for 2020, Charles.

Thanks. Though I can’t remember what the special project was.

Be brave. You can do this. All forward momentum is progress, no matter how small.

Still haven’t gotten into that mentality. I have trouble accepting that progressing an inch in a month is something to celebrate.

Maybe not worthy of a kegger, but it’s still progress.

After a while, it feels like treading water. I’d like at least one or two weekends a month to get real progress. Most weeks, I don’t even get that inch.

Not much help to offer there, other than throwing a fit and insisting to the others in your house. Hard to make work if they won’t meet you part way.

Yup. That’s been the constant struggle. Not to mention weekdays don’t see me getting writing time until 8:30-9 pm. Add work exhaustion and I only get every other weekend to write if I’m lucky.

That would be nice. I feel like I made them too big. Not to mention I have no idea what I mean by #6.

You’re welcome, Charles. Doesn’t the year 2020 sound adventurous? Very exciting to think of what’s ahead.

Maybe. Honestly, I’m seeing a lot of drama and chaos already. Couldn’t even get a full week into the year before things began exploding.

Take comfort in that striving to be better can be a constant goal. So often I think people get wrapped up in the new year resolution craze. Take heart my friend.

I don’t even bother with new year resolutions. I just get in these moods where I want to try eating healthier. Part of me knows things will get derailed somehow. Either I go out too often for food with friends or someone else eats all of the fruits that I bought for lunch, so I’m forced to buy until I can go grocery shopping. Honestly, I think one of the hardest things with getting into better shape is maintaining hope and heart because it takes a lot less time and effort to become unhealthy than healthy. Really feels like a manufacture flaw with our species at times.

I agree, Charles. Might I recommend intermittent fasting? I have had great success with this. Are you familiar with it?

I’ve heard of it, but I couldn’t do it. The periods of hunger would have a negative impact on my activities. Hard to keep up with my students or my son when I’m like that.
