Allure of the Gypsies: Sari Poems

I Am Sari

My heart is torn
Left to bleed
Mourning for lost loves
A seeping wound
That may never heal
Yet I carry on
For those I still have

I live for love and joy
That will be my path
Harbinger of happiness
And bringer of smiles
A title worn proudly
In memory of my family
And in defiance of my foes

Born to Live

Hair the family blue
From her day of birth
A single cry
That shrank into a smile
Happy to be free
And make some mischief

Always laughing
And smiling for the world
Her spirit bright
Shimmering from her eyes
With mischief on her tongue
A child of joy

Growing up did nothing
To temper her excitement
Loving life and learning
Every trick and skill
Reveling in family
Before it was struck down

Get ready for Allure of the Gypsies on December 1st!

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
