Ode to the Austrian Pine

Majestic and ancient
Alive before the campus rose
Remembering its brethren
Long since axed and mulched
It stands before the freshman dorm
Content with its humble life
It could live this way forever
Or at least until
The Uhaul ends its time

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day.     Oh my did the U-haul get him???? Pine trees have the problem unfortunately of having a v-a-s-t root system…made me smile anyway! 🙂
