War of Nytefall Factions: Nytefall

Cover Art by Alison Hunt

Thought it would be fun for War of Nytefall: Anarchy to make a poem each Thursday for the factions involved in the story.  Let’s start with Clyde’s kingdom of Nytefall.

Named from spite
And to poke at nerves
Hidden from all
Unless
You know the path
*
It is where monsters work
And fight
For peaceful unity
Hoping acceptance
Lives beyond their borders
*
Nytefall
Home and haven
To the fanged dreamers
A mystery to all
Until freedom from the shadows

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Maybe I’m weird, but your poem makes your book seem like a metaphor for the divisiveness in our country. At least it seems that way to me. I felt that very powerfully.
