Weather Mood

Lucy from Snoopy

Lucy from Snoopy

 The sunny days
Give me smiles
And energy to spare

Snow brings chills
And mesmerizing peace
Swirling into drowsy thoughts

Rain dampens moods
Filling the air
With a cleansing scent

Distracted by howling days
Where windows rattle
And the gales make me jump

I drop all for thunder
Rushing to see the lightning
Utter joy when night turns day

Anger rises with hail
Banging off car and home
Leaving dents in the morning

The glorious storm
Leaving me in wonder
Up until the rainbow finale

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

This poem summarizes my day yesterday. We had a huge storm blow in. I could hear the plink-plink of hail. Wish I could have seen a rainbow!
