To answer his question: Because I brought vodka and ‘Not Your Father’s’ Root Beer.
So tomorrow night, I had out to spend a few days at a hotel. I’ll be doing some editing, formatting, sleeping, and maybe some notebook work. As far as the debut of The Merchant of Nevra Coil, I can’t say at this time because I’m missing that one, final piece. It could show up tonight or tomorrow or whenever, but the whole thing is out of my control for now.
A wrinkle has appeared and I’ll only be staying until Sunday afternoon. This means I’ll be doing the Twubs Chat on Sunday from the house. A situation has turned up where it makes more sense for me to be home for Monday and Tuesday. I’ve been asked not to mention what it is on-line due to it embarrassing the person in question. This means one of those days will be a family outing to the big zoo. So any other things to say?
- I AM REALLY SORRY ABOUT THE DEBUT DELAY! Seriously, I really wish I could make in a vague deadline and meet it. Now I have volunteers either waiting or forgetting they volunteered. I’m dreading December since releasing the 9th book before Christmas is the best time to do so. Afterwards is rather dead.
- TWUBS CHAT ON SUNDAY FROM 7-11 PM EST! INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE POSTED THAT MORNING!
- If I forget to mention it, I’ll only be a morning and night social media person from next Monday until early September. The boy will be home and that means no projects for me beyond checking email and prepping posts for the next month. I’m just not winning in the time arena.
So the big exile plan has changed, several things are in stasis, and I’ve got no idea what I’m doing any more. It’s become a struggle just to make any progress during the day. Enjoy tomorrow’s ‘Questions 3’.

I call it life, and sometimes we have to deal with it. I put deadlines upon myself, and torture myself to meet them. Nobody out there really cares all that much. It’s all in my head. Nobody pressures me for the next book in my Game of Thrones series. We’ll be ready whenever you are. I’ll post whatever you like when you are ready. No problem really.

Can life please stop picking on me for a few months? The thing that gets to me is I feel like I’m lying, which is irking. But I can’t work without a general release time because I have people asking.

I try to be a little less committal. I’ve been telling everyone the Experimental Notebook will come out in mid September, and The Playground by the end of the year. That allows me to talk about it, but I may not be able to pump up the volume like you can.

Maybe it’s just harder with a series of connected books. I was saying late summer/early fall for a bit, but I’ve really been saying August since April/May. Thought that was more than enough time to get everything ready, but delays happened. It’s always the unexpected.

Lol – sounds to me you’re stressing over nothing. We’ve all been there, and we all know how life can throw a spanner into the best laid, erm, plans. Of men. Or mice. Which begs the question; what sort of mice are we talking about, anyway…
Just have a nice, relaxing time 🙂

Some really stubborn mice who won’t take a hint? Not sure how to go with that analogy.
