Get over Hump Day with me as I have my first LIVE interview courtesy of Sally Ember!
The event goes from 10-11 EST and you can click on the banner to go to the site!
For fun, here are some tips I’ve received:
- Don’t pick your nose.
- Don’t pass out.
- Remember to wear a shirt.
- Remember your name.
- Check what will be behind you on the video.
- Disconnect the phones and mute cellphone.
- Pray that the son does not get sick.
- Put up ‘Doorbell Broken’ sign.
- Go to bathroom before interview.
- Get a haircut, ya hippie!
- Shave and wash your face.
- Lose some weight . . . not sure how I’m supposed to accomplish this.
- Get a tan . . . I know I’m kind of pale, but I’m not going Oompa Loompa here.
- Try not to stutter or make the audience think your webcam froze.
- Pay your Internet bill.
Hope to see people there!
(Yes. I will be posting about this every day until it happens. At least tomorrow it’ll be mentioned in the goal post.)
Looks like all good suggestions

Yup. Though I’m not 100% certain on how to disconnect the phones.

You still have a landline?

Parents’ house and yes. Needed for the fax machine and to make sure the cellphones aren’t bombarded by robocalls and telemarketers.

Unplug them

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Some of them are satellites, so we have to unplug the main ones. Yet there’s one phone that still hand a ringtone after we disconnected it from the wall. It’s the one with the answering machine, so I can’t unplug it without losing the message.

Hmmmm put a blanket over it

Might come down to that. Already having to put up a ‘Doorbell Broken’ sign since I can’t disconnect that. Not without electrocuting myself thanks to the whacky wiring.

It’s only an hour, does your doorbell ring a lot? Same with the phone. Id worry more about picking your nose than phones and doorbells. 😃

It doesn’t ring a lot, but it’s loud. It’d just be my luck for someone to show up to check the gas meter. 🙂 The phone is a nonstop annoyance from about 8 AM to 11 PM.

Im glad i lead a simple life in the country. No phone (except cell), doorbell never rings.

The worst are the robo-calls. A human you can scream at for them to take you off the list. A machine keeps calling back.

Aren’t you on a no call list?

Yes, but there are exceptions. Any place you donated to or interacted with before can call. Elections seem to be immune too. It’s definitely not foolproof.

Its so nice to be unpopular.

Who is covered by the National Do Not Call Registry?
The National Do Not Call Registry applies to any plan, program, or campaign to sell goods or services through interstate phone calls. This includes telemarketers who solicit consumers, often on behalf of third party sellers. It also includes sellers who provide, offer to provide, or arrange to provide goods or services to consumers in exchange for payment.
The National Do Not Call Registry does not limit calls by political organizations, charities, or telephone surveyors.

It helps that i never answer my phone unless I know who it is.

Same here. Unfortunately, it’s set to ring 5 times and really loud due to some people in the house having bad hearing.

Not sure what #16 will be, but I’m sure you’ll have a great story to tell about it. Just kidding. 🙂 Good luck.

Thanks. Fingers crossed. Supposed to be a chance of a storm too, which is just what I don’t need.
