Pushed too hard
Body acting odd
Screaming of the cold
Shivers and chatters
Under layers
Passing overnight
Leaving me fatigued
Worn to a tiny nub
By late nights
And unnecessary stress
To get the big work done
Impatience growing high
Due to a bad decision
That I have yet to rise from
I wish to sleep today
And wake with renewed vigor
Head cleared of the fog
To focus back on work
While my characters are held
Frozen in time
Hoping I remember the path

Oh no, you’re not sick again, are you?

Don’t think so. Probably hit a point of exhaustion that I should have avoided. I keep crawling back into bed for naps and I haven’t done anything productive.

I suggest watching the John Cleese video I posted a couple of days ago on creativity, if you haven’t already. Might help get you motivated. I was actually thinking of you when I posted it. The post is called Creativity, if you want to look it up.
Take care of yourself, my dear. ๐

Thanks. I watched part of it. The issue isn’t really motivation. Ever have a day where you’re stuck in a mental fog and can’t get out of it no matter what? I know the ideas are rattling around in there. Somewhere. Maybe I need another nap.

Yep, I know the feeling all too well. And they’re usually the days when you actually have an opportunity to do something, which is even more frustrating.
Best of luck Charles. I’m with you in spirit.

Thanks. I’m hoping this passes after today.

Sounds like you are in a bad way my friend, maybe a little extra sleep would help…or maybe a stiff drink. ๐

Going to try for the extra sleep tonight and a low key weekend. Been sleeping all day, which is weird.

You must need it or you wouldn’t be sleeping. Just go with the flow and sleep when you need to and hopefully you will feel better. I hope you do have a relaxing weekend, it sounds like you need it.

I really do. I’m hoping I get the last piece for next weekend’s book debut tonight, so I don’t have to worry about it.
