City Poem: Freedom

End of the river road
Where the Scar
Cuts the town in half
Nobles lounge in vast estates
Behind the walls and bridges
Safe from pirate fleets
That crash and fail upon the stones
Welcome to the Southern Sister
Where your journey ends
One way or another

Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower Coming July 31st!!!!

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Where do you find such awesome photos to use? What do you type in?

Nicely done, Charles. Very vivid imagery. This line “Nobles lounge in vast estates” fires my imagination. It brings everything to life. It makes me think of how royalty must have lived back in the late 16th to 17th century. It’s a far cry of how they live today.

Interesting line…Where you journey ends, one way or another. Could be taken as words of wisdom, a warning, or just a statement. Great picture you posted, too.
