It starts with a single thread
Pulled without a care
Then another thread
Followed by a third
Until the tapestry of life
Unravels in your hands
You try to stitch it back
Needing time to think
And see the truth
The unraveling comes fast
With chaos feeding all
I try to find a path
With screaming and talking
Pushing in my face
How can I stem the tide
When life won’t give me peace
Is the stitching too far gone?
Rotted beyond repair
The threads falling
Through my fingers
And taken by the wind
Very beautifully written.

I think everyone already knows that in spite of our constant bickering I am a big softy and I…oh what the hell. I care Charles. I guess I have to put away the claws once in a while. You are not alone. Never will be. Now hurry and say something stupid before people get the wrong idea and start thinking I’m sweet.

Oh my…that really is a very light and beautiful way to speak about a very difficult thing…seen a lot of unravelings in my life…it’s actually a very sad poem indeed. π¦ But I love it anyway!

Thanks. It was tough writing that one and not going totally depressing.

You did a great job…sad, but light enough to get through it and appreciate the beauty…if I may say so a true “fire” poem.

Never thought of myself as fire much. I used to because fire was always the ‘cool’ element. More of an air and water person these days.
