Not an Angel?

I call you an angel

Which you casually deny

With an impish grin

Yet, I always see your wings

Folded and off-white

More beautiful than those of any bird

I can see your halo

Crooked, but still pristine

Emanating your inner warmth

That makes me smile

Defying all the miles

I call you an angel

Which you casually deny

With an angelic grin

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Very Beautiful Charles. You certainly have a way with words, which I guess you better since you are giving this author thing a good go of it, no?

I really like the flow of this, Charles. I especially like this part: “That makes me smile/
    Defying all the miles…”
