About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Groggy Goals

First, Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune crossed 1,000 sales.  That’s always the big target I’m looking for.  At least with the fantasy novels.  The novella and poetry book are kind of on their own.  How in the world … Continue reading

Loyalty Broken Without Warning or Reason

One of the most common twists is the ‘Betrayal’ and I wrote about this once before.  This is where a lot of depth and growth can come from.  A traitor can ruin plans and destroy group cohesion in one simple … Continue reading

To Trash a Romance or Not to Trash a Romance?

Now if violence happens with no reaction then sex/relationships have the opposite problem.  Many authors take an approach that the best way to stir things up is to screw with a romantic subplot.  That is a good method, but you … Continue reading
