It’s pretty much over for me. Holding onto this little bit of summer while I’m away. I mean, I’m resting today and heading home tomorrow. Then, I’m back at school on Wednesday. Don’t expect much in the way of in-depth posts until Friday when I’m going to do something silly.

Yeah, I remember those days before Labor Day, wishing it would not come so summer break could remain. (And yes, I know that some schools have already started. In my area, we went back to school after Labor Day.)

Same here. A few schools started early. My son starts the day after mine. Though teachers always start a few days before the students.

I remember how the end of summer used to be a downer. Now it is just a season change.

I went from downer to meh to downer again. Mostly because I don’t get off like most of the students. Getting maybe 2 weeks scattered about is a real tease.

Yes, it would be a tease.

I love the end of summer. The end of the hot humid days. The end of running the A/C & my electric bill going up 71%. The coming of the color & beauty of a Western NY fall. The first snow. The quiet of winter. A nice fire in the fireplace with a warm drink & a good book. My fleeces & flannels & other comfy clothes.
You can have your summer. LOL

I hate temperature extremes. Though spring and autumn brings allergies, so I suffer in all seasons. I had read that the AC being turned off and on is what causes the high hill. Supposedly running it at constant temp like 72 keeps the bill low. Not sure if this is true or a power company trick.

I remember those feelings. I live in a cubicle now, so the only thing I notice is the temperature in my truck for the drive home.

Ah, the cubicle. It’s like a jail cell, but no cot and toilet. 🤪
