The week started with a big holiday for those of us in the USA. Everyone else in the world probably just went to work. Well, I did too, so I’m not one to talk. Anyway, what do those of us who desire to write do on the weekends?
SLEEP!
I mean, besides that:
SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY!
What else?
CATCH UP ON TV OR READING!
Try again, fictional authors that I created for this skit post:
Writing?
A bit louder please:
WRITING!
There you go.
Seriously, for many of us, the weekend is the only time that we can do any writing, editing, plotting, dreaming, or whatever else an author may need to do. One part of our trade is learning more tricks to make our stories grow. That can be done by . . .
Buying a copy of Do I Need to Use a Dragon? as a 99 cent eBook!
You don’t even have to let it interrupt your writing time. Read parts before bed. Read while in the bathroom. Read while eating a meal. Read while hiding on the roof from everything else you put off until the weekend. Maybe you have a specific plot problem that has been plaguing you. The answer could very well be inside these pages. So, grab a copy, take a look, and enjoy your weekend.

That weekend yard work is some of my best free-thinking time. If only I had a note pad with me while weeding.

I’m kind of glad it’s going to rain. Keeps me indoors.

Definitely a weekender here. Life caught up with me and writing had to take a back seat. I’ll get to it on the next one.

That’ll be me next weekend. Though this one didn’t go nearly as smoothly as I expected.
