While it might be a few months away, I have a preliminary sketch for the War of Nytefall: Loyalty cover. The artist is Alison Hunt and the idea is to do a symbol for each cover. Enjoy.

About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
I really like those kind of covers. I tried something similar with the Experimental Notebooks, and got some nice compliments on those covers. I think it’s a great idea for a series.

Thanks. It’s the first time I’ve gone this route since I did a poetry book in 2013. Be interesting to do it as a series too.

I have a plan for the notebooks. Just keep working another wheel into the cover per book. That way there is some consistency.

Makes sense and creates consistency. The plan here is a symbol that relates to each story with a matching background.

It’s a great idea and doesn’t involve pretty people trying to look like vampires.

Oh, that would have been so bad given this series. I mean, some of them are pretty, but they would never do model poses. Well, one or two of them might, but I still wouldn’t trust them.

I love symbolic covers! When you get ready to do a finished cover reveal, let me know!

Thanks. Might take a while. I’m not releasing until March/April to build up funds. Though I might not be doing a lot of paid stuff this time around.

You got it. No idea how to promote a new series on the cheap either. Wondering if I should publish and then see if people want to help with a blog tour or set it up beforehand.

Looks nice. Interesting idea for using different symbols on each book… are they going to have translations in the books?

We’re trying to come up with symbols that relate to the story. Some might be within the story while others aren’t. For example, this has a half moon and half sun with seeping blood.

Ah, I see now. I was wondering if they would create a phrase when put together.
