First order of business . . . this post has been scheduled because I’ll be running around today.
Second order of business . . . pancakes.
Third order of business . . . stopping this joke from going any further.
I do want to say that I’m still trying to get the secret project off the ground. The volunteers have been told what it is and I’m hoping to keep it secret until the one thing I need to happen actually happens. Sent a message to the right people early in the week and haven’t heard back. Apparently, this doesn’t happen as quickly as I thought it would. On the other hand, most of my projects are so terrified of hitting a deadline that I wouldn’t know what to do if it actually happened.
Not much else to report this week because this has been the house of disease. My son was getting over strep while my wife had bronchitis and I had an upper respiratory infection. I’m not done. My dad got the flu and my mom got a virus, which means every person in this house got a different ailment. So chunks of my time were spent with errands and cooking. We’re also cleaning up for Passover next Saturday, so I’m realizing how smart it was to not start a new book in April. I tried getting back into biking too, which my body wasn’t entirely ready for.
The last week in April is my son’s Spring Break, so I won’t be getting much done around that time. Thankfully, I got all the posts for May ready, which means I’m out of ideas for June. I have an Ichabod Brooks story that needs to be posted in its 7-8 sections, so that might be something. Asking for topics doesn’t seem to go very well, which means I need to sit and think.
The only progress I’ve made this week is designing a few of the future Bedlam characters that will appear in the sequel. Cassidy and Lloyd got their redesigns too. Another thing that turned up is that I got to thinking about where to go after Legends of Windemere. I don’t know if I mean stories or being an author in general. With it being so long since a Windemere book release, I’m not doing too hot. Still I should consider if I’m going to write up the first of a new series or do that ‘epilogue’ that closes out a characters personal journey. An issue with the latter is that it would reveal the ending of Legends. Maybe I can just write it and publish it a year after Book 15 goes live.
Did I mention where I am today? Totally forgot about that. Well, some people might remember there was something about a cardiologist. It didn’t happen because the referral didn’t take my insurance . . . or the plan I’ll have next. So I’m at the clinic again for a physical and whatever they can do for the ticker. Another cardiologist will be called on Monday and we’ll see what happens. Not exactly thrilled about all this since I’m scared about being charged for this when we can’t afford it. Hopefully I can have something go in my favor this year.
So, what are the goals for the week?
- Create more characters for Chasing Bedlam.
- Clean house for company.
- Get the cardiologist thing over with.
- Try to up the biking from 10 to 12 miles.
- Plan some stuff for June posts.

Wishing you a great week. (It’ll happen)

I threw down the bones and the bones say it’ll happen.

Yeah. Think the bones need to be re-calibrated. I’m dragging my butt to May for the hope of a better month.

Bones never lie. Don’t have the heart for the chicken sacrifice though.

For some reason, there were 2 days in April where your comments were marked as spam. Then they switched back and I never noticed there was ever a problem. Really strange.

Sounds like quite a week. I hope life gets easier for you.
I was wondering if you were planning on releasing another Legends of Windemere bundle? I’ve been reading the first one and enjoying it.

I really should switch to that project since the newest book keeps getting delayed. Though I’d probably release it in the summer (June) to help with that sale slump period. Glad you’re enjoying the stories.

I really am enjoying them. I can see where you must had had a lot of fun writing them.
I’ll keep my eyes open for the next bundle. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of your series.
I haven’t taken the time to read the blurbs about the rest of your books, so I might be wrong, but were you planning on doing a few books or stories set before the one in the bundle? It reads like there could be several interesting stories about the parents of the current heroes.
Thanks for writing such a great series and such a good blog.

Thanks. I actually took the time to get the formatting done yesterday. All I really want to do first is get Book 10 out before I do the bundle. That or put them out at the same time, but that could be confusing.
I’ve considered doing stories about Selenia and her mercenaries. The odd thing is that I’ve always looked at them as the old guard. A lot of fantasy stories have those legends that came first, but you only hear about them. So I jump between wanting to write them and leaving them as ‘myths’. It is rather tempting at times.

Take care of yourself first and foremost. Everything else can wait.

Is the weather nice enough for a bike ride?

It is, but I don’t own an outside bike. Just the stationary. My last bike was destroyed by Florida weather and bees.

Take care! And, really, do try to spare a little time to relax. It sounds like that is in short supply for you currently.

Thanks. Going to spread out the chores and errands this week. Saturday is Passover and the big gathering is here, so I can’t let my guard down too much.
