Legs aching and arms going limp
You may have pushed too far
Is it time to rest?
There’s still work to do
A break will cost you, dear
Sparks are still upon your eyes
I doubt you wish to give
The finish line is too far to see
Yet you can taste it in the breeze
Surrender is not on the menu
Not while you can move
A slow breath is all you need
To claim one more mile

Whoo…that’s what I needed this morning.

I really needed that too. I have a tendency to think, “I just can’t do this.” But your writing this poem, even with your busy schedule, reminds me that I should stop complaining about the little I have to do.

Eh, sometimes a person has to vent. Even if it’s over something small.

I rode my bike against a 20 mile an hour wind. I wish I had this with me.

Wow. How did you do?

Normal eight miles whittled to six. (not an endurance thing but a time thing) Normally I go about 8 miles and hour so the wind slowed me by almost 25%)

Ouch. I’ve had that issue of time on the stationary. Can’t really complain since there’s no wind in here.

Actually wind on a stationary might be a good thing.

Wow, were you thinking of me at the time? It’s like you were in my head! π

Sorry. Made a telepathic wrong turn. Did I leave my car keys in there?

Let me look… Yep, there they are. What were you doing under the couch, anyway?

Selling my books to the dust bunnies. They’re a barely acknowledged demographic.

Ha ha – I’ll have to change my marketing strategies to reflect that insight π

Better work quickly though. The market disappears whenever the vacuum is used.

Oh no! The poor bunnies. Wonder how they’ll read in the vacuum π¦
