Hero Poems: Fallen Hero

Superboy Prime

Superboy Prime

A hero pushed too far
Disgusted by the world
Or sick of never gaining ground
Stop one serpent’s head
And the hydra grows another
So why continue playing nice?
The power to kill
Has always been on-hand
Perhaps the world must pay
Be cleansed and restarted
By one who fought so long
And has finally cracked

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  2. This is quite fitting for what is going on in the world today. Maybe we need Superman to restart this world. Great poem. 🙂

    • I don’t know if even he can do it. Half the world will set out to damage his reputation and misrepresent all of his actions for their own ends. Ever think that the real problem is that everyone with an agenda has a platform and it’s turned into the loudest voice wins?
