A little over a week ago, I sat down for an interview with Adam Scull who runs Eat, Sleep, Write. Well, it’s up now and you can click on the picture at the bottom to hear it.
It’s about world-building in fantasy, which was a great topic for my first big podcast interview. I talk a little about my experiences in self-publishing too. I think everyone will have some fun and I hope I didn’t stutter or race through my words too much. You can tell I was nervous.
If anyone wants to share the link to this interview then I’d greatly appreciate it. Enjoy.
So THAT’S what you sound like!

Three books a year?! Wow. I believe that fantasy isn’t just for kids and I love your response to “you love to write because…” I would have answered the same. Best of luck and well wishes to you and your writing!

Thanks. It’s really hard to do the 3 books a year. Only reason I can is that I wrote the first 3 books of my series long before I published. So everything I do now is in advance.

That was brilliant! Loved the bit where you talk about expression – the dragon’s tail – I have loads of fun with that too. Totally inspired me to carry on with my series zooming too – really great interview to listen to Charles.

Fantastic interview, Charles! You didn’t sound nervous at all. And your accent isn’t as pronounced as I had imagined. 😉

I was expecting you to have a north eastern accent where you don’t pronounce the r’s so no, I guess you don’t really have an accent, but as a Texas I can tell you’re from the North. It’s very subtle.

I used to have the ‘th’ sounds like a ‘d’ accent when I was younger. That was worked out of me. I guess I have a subtle Long Island accent. You probably hear it in the vowels.

This was an excellent interview Charles, no stuttering and you sounded exceptionally professional. I really enjoyed it. It’s nice to have a voice along with a name and face. Great job.

Thanks. I’m hoping I can do better on the next one. I didn’t give myself much time to think.

I really couldn’t tell. Your answers were concise yet informative without a lot of “ummms” as filler. That is very hard to do for most people. I thought it was very smooth and I didn’t think you sounded at all nervous. Well done sir I was very impressed.

I was told before hand to not do ‘uh’ and ‘um’. Those can’t be edited out. The few that got in there were trips.
