I Taught I Taw

Merrie Melodies by Warner Bros.

I taught I taw
A puddy tat
While hunting wabbits
During duck season
But it was just . . . I say
It was just a skunk
Kissing a painted stray
Before an earth shattering kaboom
What’s up, doc?
Great hornytoads!
You’re despicable
If you don’t understand
Sufferin’ succotash
What a maroon
Makes me want to spit and spin
Do I need to hold up signs?
Th-th-th-that’s all folks!
Arriba! Meep meep!

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  3. I was hoping you would get the “Sufferin’ succotash” in there, that is my favorite. Fun poem, brings back memories. 🙂
