The Halfling Wedding

Fuzzy feet ran through town
Scrambling to prepare
Tents go up and chairs set down
An event was in the air

The village waited in their seats
As bride and groom were hid
For a day they were the elite
A title they wished to rid

For the planning was tough
Yet worth the stress
By now they’ve had enough
Time to wear the suit and dress

The halfling wedding did commence
Solemn, smooth, and perfect
You could tell they both were tense
Their breathing one could barely detect

With their choked ‘I dos’
It is time to celebrate the victory
So I present to you:
Mr. & Mrs. Nimby

(Congratulations to Dave & Yolanda on their wedding.)

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
