Here I Wait

And here I wait
Dreading every minute
Fearing every second
Because I do not know
Will today end in disappointment?
Will it end in victory?
I will distract myself
Yet I will continue coming back
Waiting in anxiety
Because I want to move
Patience is a virtue
And I have never been that virtuous
Though I guess I need to learn

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. The hardest lesson. Unfortunately patience in the writing and publishing field is a blessing. Everything takes too long

The dreaded “P” word. It’s not one of my best virtues. I’m working on it though. This was a great poem…wonderful word pictures 🙂

It will come through when you least expect it. Isn’t that what always happens in these situations?

I think I skipped the patience queue. Perhaps it was too long.
