It’s that time to state my weekly goals. Last week didn’t work out too well. Disease kept me out of exercising a lot because it’s hard to bike with a gasping wheeze. Sick child and errands dropped me to 2 chapters instead of 3 for my book. Never got to touch ‘Tales of the Slumberlord’. At least the cooking went well.
Wattpad has become a disaster too. I chopped the excerpt into chapters to get an idea of who was reading through the entire thing. Answer: Nobody. The first section has 61 reads while all the others have 1. They’ve been at 1 for a week and I think that’s from me checking them. So, I have no idea if people are simply not interested or they don’t realize that there are other chapters to go through. It was a novel idea, but I might have to put it back to the original for no other reason than I’d rather trick myself into thinking it’s being read.
So that new goals of the week:
- Try exercising again.
- Get over this damn cold.
- Write 2 chapters of ‘The Compass Key’.
- Finish the last two book write-ups for ‘Tales of the Slumberlord’.
- Write a Nimby Fairy Tale for a friend.
- Remember my son’s neurologist appointment this week.
- Fix Wattpad entry.
- Read more of ‘Shadows of Sheradan’ by Scott Barker.
I’m planning on getting some of these done today if I can get my head to stop throbbing with a dull pain.
Final note, thank you to Green Embers and the rest of the Rome Construction Crew for making me a Lieutenant. I’ll try my best not to be the bumbling one that has to get shipped off to the Arctic Base for his own good. 😀

No Arctic base for Lieutenant Charles!!! I really hope you start feeling better! I hope it goes better on Wattpad once you fix your entry. It sounds like a busy week but I know you will conquer the week!!

If I can get the fairy tale, Wattpad, and a new goal (Thanks a lot, Clyde, you vampiric bastard!) done today then it should make an easier week.

Well, I know you got the fairy tale done!!! 🙂 Gonna come visit your blog now to see if you got to the rest.

Almost got ‘Tales of the Slumberlord’ done, but I misread the clock as 10 when it was really 11. So, I’ll have to finish that tonight and then figure out what series to move into the ‘planning’ stage. After Slumberlord, I’m not really sure about the order of my series. Sin goes next, but his stories wouldn’t fit in the remaining room of the notebook. Thinking of giving him and his connected series their own notebook. So hard to decide.

so…does that mean you hand write everything first?

I hand write character profiles, monster write-ups, plot blurbs, and outlines. That way I won’t lose everything in a computer crash.

All I could see during that last sentence was all of us chasing you through a frozen wasteland with pitchforks and torches screaming “Kill the Monster” poor Frankenshteeen:(

Funny you should mention monster. I’m hoping to write and post a very special sneak peek that involves my personal dark side. I hope to get it done today.

You have a dark side? Well slap a squirrel and call me nutty.

It’s only Clyde the psychotic, powerful vampire. Thought up his intro scene for his series when I was biking. I need to finish this fairy tale and then I’m so on that mission.

Looking forward to it 🙂

Get better Charles! Colds suck. lol @ the Frankenshtien. Funny enough it does start out in the arctic. You’re already doing fine as a LT Charles! I’ll get to your question about the podcast later tonight. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Thanks. So far I already got two goals down. A fresh one just popped up that I hope to get taken care of today. A fun, violent Sneak Peek of my vampire story that I’ll write when I finish Legends of Windemere.

Good luck on those goals and I hope you start feeling better. Will have to check out the chapters, even though I have never been to Wattpad.

Thankfully, it’s a rather simple site and there are only 16 pages in the excerpt. Just fixed it up, so I hope it leads people to the full book on Amazon.

Hope you’re feeling better and good luck with the goals. Don’t forget to focus on what you DO achieve as much as what you don’t. 🙂

Thanks. So far, I’m doing pretty good. The issue last week is that I missed every goal, except remembering to cook dinner. That goal was put on the post as a joke, but it was the only one I achieved.

When I was “partnered” if my guy ever cooked anything I think I’d have fainted. Good on you!

Thanks. I’m the better cook out of the two of us. My wife has a few dishes that she can do, but she tries to substitute things to make them healthier and overdoes it. I’ll let her stick to the baking, which she’s better at.

Forgot to say, thanks for the “like” on my FB page. Just beginning to build it. 🙂

We all have to jump in somewhere in a blog. I always wish new folks to my blog would start at the beginning. Then they would understand how sensible, sane and sorry I am. Never happens.
So it is with yours. I won’t pretend to understand what you are writing about….yet. I do know you have been kind to return to read mine often and for that I thank you.
Here is what I have learned about you.
You are exercising out in the damn cold and making dull throbbing goals. 😦

It’s actually an exercise bike in the basement. Though, it’s damn cold down there. Wish I had some place else to put it.
I get a little down about people not going to the beginning of my blog, but I’ve found it hard to find the time to do that. I figure if people are really interested then they’ll go back to the posts that make them curious.
