Summer Plans!

Summer break has started, which means I have to decide on what I’m going to do for the next two months.  Life has been chaotic since January though, which means all of this is in the ‘hope’ category.  Still dealing with that life event too, so I don’t think I can make any big plans:

  1. Time with son when possible.
  2. Start writing Darwin & the Deadland Queen.
  3. Work summer school.
  4. Enjoy Pokemon Go-Fest.
  5. Take daily walks.
  6. Remember to use sunscreen and hydrate this time.
  7. Work on outlines for future stories.
  8. Jigsaw puzzles for screen break.
  9. If possible: Take a trip somewhere with my son.
  10. Set up September blog posts.  Think about the October theme since ‘Monster Maker’ isn’t an option.  Might repost Windemere Monster posts.
  11. Catch up on sleep when possible.
  12. Addition: Custody situation and all of its fallout, which will probably affect the previous items.

What’s everyone else hoping to accomplish?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Sorry to hear about custody situation. I hope you and your son can go somewhere fun.

I’m looking for work so I’ve been applying places. I’ve also been working on a chapter book series for kids 6+.

I plan to walk more, swim every day, and hopefully finish my latest mystery. We just got back from the beach and are exhausted from six adults and two small grandkids in one house.

  3. I think I will continue what I’m doing which is my best in spite of medication that makes everyday a challenge.

  4. This is the first summer I am working in 9 years. It is so weird. That being said, my workload is way down over the next 10 weeks. So, my goal is to walk more, go to the pool and read!! Good Luck in your custody situation.

  6. I hope you’re able to accomplish at least half of your goals.

I will be working through a backlog of heavy housework and yard work (which actually is relaxing for me). I have a summer writing project to push through. This year will be different because my husband has now retired and will constantly be under foot. In previous years, I would have the days to myself. I think I’m going to miss that.
