(I feel like I’ve beaten a dead horse with this topic, but I’m seeing it through to the end.)

White Queen and Wolverine
Living on the outskirts
Both rebels
Attractive in their distance
From society
And norms
Tempting in their danger
Yet, different
In their delivery
*
One can be tough
Alluring and charismatic
While being fully clothed
He is not a sexual creature
While she is dripping lust
For those on the edge
That stand as unique
Both follow the same paths
*
A change should be done
Rebellious males
That eat tacos when first met
Charming females
With higher necklines
Switch the core
To bring freshness
And revive the dull archetypes
I totally agree with the need to shake things up and do something unexpected!

I should really put a disclaimer there though. I know a lot of people try to do something unexpected for the sake of surprise, but not much more thought put into it. A shake up really needs to be prepared better for it to have a lasting impact.

Higher necklines, yes! Don’t they know some things become more powerful when left to the imagination?

Depends on the audience. I’m finding that some people don’t get subtlety.

It isn’t about subtlety. It’s about getting the reader to do part of the work and engage their imagination. Showing cleavage isn’t salacious. It’s our imagination that makes it so.

Sorry. I’m confused a bit. I was thinking you were against the cleavage usage and now I’m not sure. Personally, I think a variety of levels helps get a broader audience. Some need the appeal made more clearly than others.
