Path to Numbness

Stolen hearts and bitter shields
Seen as parts of life
More common than we think
Not as easily healed
When the damage is true
Bleeding inside
From a wound that festers
And will never heal completely
Leaving a broken soul
That only knows of numbness
Wanting to be free
And not knowing the way out

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I’m chuckling over your response to Dom 😛 It’s amazing what words and music can bring forth.
