Fear of the Finale

The tale is coming to a close
But I am not quite ready
Unsure of the next tale
As if starting fresh
While ghosts of the past
Remain in the air

I delay the inevitable
While time steadily runs out
Soon forcing me
To write the final scene
And close this chapter with
THE END

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

All good things must come to an end. Though it’s hard to say good-bye to a good story.

No reason to fear. Simply progressing not ending.

  3. Charles you are the last writer on earth who should fear an ending. The next story is seconds away for you.

    • Yes and no. I may have another story to go to, but it’s still tough to leave the old characters behind. Especially when Legends of Windemere ends. I’ve been working with them for 17 years, so them ‘ending’ seems so strange.

Moving on is the hardest thing to do. In some cases, it’s easier simply to walk away than to stick around and watch things get worse. I’m talking on multiple levels now, but somehow, I think you know what I mean.
