Hero Poem: Powerless

Return of Superman

Return of Superman

Once the strongest of them all
Now a mortal man
Pitted against villains
That have retained their wrath
They hold the advantage
Yet the hero will not hide
Body honed from battles
And the mind of a seasoned warriors
Gathering what weapons he has
To continue the fight
And proving a hero
Is more than powers and tools

Should I be apologizing for this topic?  I know I’m writing these up in late August and this is Thursday, but I’ve gotten into so many ‘Superman Sucks’ debates since high school that I feel like I should say something.  Though, I’m really more of a Pre-Clone Saga Spider-Man fan.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
