Plan for the Week- Hopefully Relaxation

Capybara

Capybara

So, I’m hoping to relax this week since I finished typing in the edits to Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune.  By relaxing, I mean focusing on projects that don’t require full focus and aren’t time sensitive.  I’m hoping for a week of this.  I’ll still be on the blog and doing the promotional stuff though.  Only I’ll be doing it with the television on and still under the covers.  Or sprawled on the couch with my notebooks around me.

Here’s the plan:

  1. Finish editing Beginning of a Hero and upload new version to Amazon.
  2. Work on characters and plots for The Slumber War.
  3. Restructuring the ideas.
  4. If those two are done then begin characters, plots, and events for War of the Tainted.
  5. Drink a little.
  6. Tuesday with toddler in park and frozen yogurt.
  7. Promo books.

I do have one question that I’ve been struggling with:

Which character do I use for the return of Ask A Character on Tuesday?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Sounds like a very productive week. I need to start making an outline like that!

    • I hope so. It really depends on getting my editing done today. It’ll be close if I can do it at all.

I know how that goes, Charles. I feel foolish asking but what is Ask a Character?

      • It was an interview post I used to do. I put one of my characters up for people to ask questions. It went well for a bit and then suddenly died. With my newest book coming out December 1st, I was hoping to start it up again. I’m just not sure which character to use for the debut.

Well, I will have to get your books and start reading so that I can give adequate feedback! Sounds like a fantastic concept.

      • It was a lot of fun and we’re planning a Twubs Chat near the end of the month. This is an interview through a private Twitter channel where many people can post questions and talk.

The kicker is going to be the interview is with all of my characters and everything is fair game. It’ll be a lot of fun.

I alright, I just purchased the first two books in the series – paperback, of course! Cannot wait for them to arrive!

      • Cool. Thanks. Reminds me that I should probably set up a paperback for the third book. Honestly, you’re the first person to buy a paperback of the 2nd book since it debuted in July.

Call me old-fashioned. I like having the book in my hand more than looking at a screen. Just something about turning through the pages that I find more enjoyable! I am hoping to get my fantasy novels close for release next year on my blog RobertsonWrites. But, first – I have to complete the VOID gaming project! 😀

      • Sounds like a lot of work. I can relate. As you can see even my relaxing tends to be more than couch potato time. I have to use this month for book promo and hyping up the third book.

Sounds like my world as well. I look forward to the day that I can write and create games without having a “real-world” job. I have rewritten my novel 7 or so times in the past decade. Finally decided I needed to stop scrapping it and finally finish the series and start looking at seriously publishing. I am definitely my worst critic!

      • I lack the “real-world” job, so this is all I do. I’m working under a ‘deadline’ to succeed by end of the year. The ‘boss’ and I are not clear on what the definition of success is. I thought a couple thousand sales and high reviews were it. The ‘boss’ seems to think a fortune is key. We’ll see what happens.
