First, here is an updated Cover Image:
People should tell Jason how awesome he is.
Second of all, I just received some information (actually after I saved the draft of this) and it is best to debut my book on December 1st. Closer to the bigger buying days and it gives us more time to finish edits on Allure of the Gypsies. Best to get it right the first time and November is apparently a slow sales day even for debuts.
Here is the plan:
Catalysts
The horror novella might be going live on the weekend or by Tuesday. With Allure of the Gypsies coming close, I really want to get Catalysts off my plate. There won’t be much beyond a few tweets in the early days and a blog post. It will be a 99 cent novella due to length, my inexperience with horror, and length. Maybe I’ll get it live by tomorrow night and give it a few days to build momentum to Halloween.
Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies
I will be trying to do a week of promotions and debut the book on a Monday. I do apologize for the delay, but it will happen before too long. My promo plan for the plan is the following:
Day of Sari– Sari poems, a Sari interview for people to ask questions, and a write up on the gypsies of Windemere.
Day of Kalam– Kalam poem, interview with Kalam and Isaiah, and a write up that either tells or shows a scene where Kalam is training the Lich.
Day of the Callindors– Callindor poem, history of their lineage, and an interview with Luke’s mother if the previous interviews get good responses. If the interview is out then maybe a story showing a child Luke doing some training.
Day of the Preview– I know people hate spoilers and I agree. So, I will take the first chapter section of the book and post it throughout the day. No spoilers since it’s the very beginning.
Day of Family– Family is a big theme of the third book, so I’ll be going over the topic in writing for one post. I might also set up an interview with Luke, Nyx, and Sari at once.
Probably some other stuff as far as my blog goes.
There will also be:
- Cover Review
- An excerpt from each book on the Community Storyboard
- Cover Reveal prior to release, which people can volunteer for when I make that post.
- Blog Tour, which I will go into detail on Sunday. This is going to occur the month of release and will be very important. I’m talking if you volunteer and get your day, you come through. We will be gathering volunteers throughout November. Seriously, this is going to be big.
- Other events as November progresses.

I really love the neon blue. It’s electrifying. Jason, this is indeed wonderful.

I just got the final one with touch up and title. Going to use it on Sunday when I explain the Blog Tour.

Looks like a good plan. I will be behind by two books unless I find more time.

Don’t worry. You have a month to be behind by 1.5 books. Thankfully, they’re not going anywhere. 🙂

I’m just hoping I don’t go insane waiting for December. Patience is not one of my superpowers, but I’m going to have to learn it. Or jump in toxic waste to get it. Not sure which is easier.

Next to you I resemble Job.(biblical guy with patience). I have had a contract signed since March and no sign of a publish date. Yaaaaaaaaa

Remember that story. Never fully got it though. Sucks that you’re still waiting on a publish date. Any idea what the delay is?

No idea. I get no response other than “busy”

Seems like an improved plan to me. 🙂

Thanks. I’m sure it will work. The hardest part is going to be keeping myself from checking my sales every hour during the slow period.

Better to be completely ready. But secretly I’m disappointed because I’m ready to read the next one.

Sorry about that. I’m hoping the horror novella eases some people’s disappointment.

Sounds like a good plan, Charles – I can have a review of Catalysts ready by early next week (Monday even) to help with it’s debut.

Very cool. Thanks. I’ll try to get it live by the end of the weekend. Want to do one more read through. Weekends always seem to be slow sales.

I can see that – especially this weekend: first break for kids at school and for a lot of places, trick-or-treat.

It’s set up to go, so I’ll hit the publish button before I go to bed tonight. Then I do some marketing tomorrow and figure the rest out. Probably won’t push it more than a daily Tweet and a post on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sounds good, Charles…I like the candles on the mantle – that wax on the left inner one. I wasn’t noticing that the last time I saw this piece. Your stamina amazes me. Hoping all is well

My stamina is definitely being tested. Very sleepy, but mostly because the cold weather makes me drowsy. Need to hibernate.
