I just received an up-dated cover picture from Jason. He’s going to get more done this weekend and hopefully we’ll be ready to go within the first week in July. He’s been working on the face, skin, cloak, and fire of Nyx and I can’t wait for the completed work.

About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
Fantastic. That looks really exciting and quite majical!

I’m hoping for the first week of July, but it depends on how long it takes for the cover art to finish. If not next week then the following week.

Spectacular! She’s one great looking warrior!

Thanks. She’s a spellcaster though. Fire is from her.

Spellcaster she may be but I’d say from just looking at the picture she’s pretty combative…by the by read an article the other day where the blogger said that we have the wrong impression of what warriors are…they are also magicians and phlosophers etc… 🙂

Depends on the warrior. There are battle casters (like Nyx) and warrior philosophers. It varies depending on the culture and world.

Awesome! What’s Jason’s process like in designing the cover? Is everything done by hand first and then uploaded into photoshop for touch-ups? Really curious.

Not sure what his process is. I’ve received hand sketches and digital sketches, so I assume he does both.

Looks awesome. I have everything crossed for you for a first week in July release. I’ll only uncross my legs to pee. 🙂

Thanks. He’s supposed to get more work done this weekend, so I’m hoping. Even if it isn’t the first week, I’d settle for getting some hype in and do a second week debut.

It’s looking great, Charles. I’m sure you’re anxious for it to be completed. What was that you said about patience?

I believe I said I didn’t have it. That sounds like me. 😀

You said you traded it for a Snickers bar, tsk-tsk. But I’m not one to talk. Patience is one of my weaknesses too.

I miss that Snickers bar. Maybe I can trade my standards or self-respect for another one.
