One Step

Today I took a step
Nothing more
And nothing less

It was a tiny step
Barely noticed
By those I hang around

They ignore my step
Declaring it illusion
From their other path

They forget it is my step
I decided if it exists
And pushes me ahead

Every step is a step
Nothing takes that all away
Because you are closer

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

    • Thanks. I really have to visit there at some point. I’ve been calling my fantasy world Windemere since 1999/2000 and I didn’t know there was a place with that name until I started blogging.

It often works that way Charles, always a plus point I think, seated in good peaceful counties – It’s definitely work a visit. Colonial cousins always welcome. From a brother … speaking English not in a way you imagine.

One step may seem inconsequential to many but this one step matters a lot.. it is the foundation of many other steps that are going to be taken. Very well-written! πŸ™‚

  13. Its not the size of the step, its the fact that you took one, that’s all that matters. Nicely written.

    Love this..
I have this saying (And you know I suffer in pain 24/7)
One step, one breath, one smile at a time.
    And we will see tomorrow.

    Great blog!!

        Yeah we have to smile..
To many people out there Charles don’t know they are born mate. They have more money, enough to make King Solomon BLUSH!
These rich people don’t know how to smile, while us “Normal people ” scrape through each day smiling while getting booted hard with bills each day.

Honest these people annoy me (Slightly)
Smiling is an easy thing, you got to be happy to do it though..

      • Would say not smiling or fake smiling is worse? I’ve met many people that fake a smile to keep up appearances.

Fake smile, I think we all spot it a mile away.
Keeping up the theme they made up, the life they made up,, how they wanted TO BE seen, yeah that kind of Smile..Always easy to spot…

A good smile, a real smile, it comes with the eyes attached… lol
