The Enchantress

Thursday Poetry Prompt by We Drinks Because We’re Poets.

I may be in a mess
It’s might fault, I will confess
A spell I need to make
To avoid this wizard’s best

A fang of snake
A rib from dead man’s lake
The eyes of a rabid bear
Together they will bake

I will cast without a care
In magic, all is fair
That wizard will be mine
Once he steps within my lair

In the end I will be fine
I think I’ll enjoy some wine
As my new wizard builds a shrine
Worshipping me, the new divine

(Okay.Β  Quatrain is not my thing.)

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
