I believe I was going to start posting my weekly goals on Sunday. This is going to be a simple week because I’m learning that there’s always a chance that something can go horribly wrong. Also, I picked some complicated dishes to make for dinner this week.
- Get back to my biking. I haven’t been able to do my biking on the weekends lately due to the convention and overall busyness.
- Write chapters 2 (last scene) through 5 of ‘Legends of Windemere: The Compass Key’. This is the one that’s going to be tough and I might have to accept that I might fall short. If I can just make it to ‘The Run’ scene then I’ll be happy.
- Write the last two ‘Tales of the Slumberlord’ book ‘outlines’. Possibly make the opening series explanation for ‘The Elysium Saga’.
- Keep an eye on Wattpad and see if it helps.
- Remember how to cook Taco Lasagna and not screw up cooking a new type of Chicken Burger.
That’s the goal list for this week. If I can keep up a 3 chapter a week rate then I could have the first draft of ‘The Compass Key’ done by the end of June/early July. Toes crossed because I can’t type with crossed fingers.

I don’t know how you real writers do it…

got the sleep deprivation and insanity down pat, got quite the sweet tooth, drank enough rum to drown a pirate… (I don’t drink much any more..) I should have written a few novels by that formula…lol…

In that case, I got nothing. A few nasty blows to the head in my lifetime, but I’m sure that has nothing to do with it.

had me lots of them to…maybe too many… I think it might be more that goal thing you do…I don’t do that… I write strictly stream of consciousness and to do that first I have to be conscious… maybe that will be my first goal…

Possibly. I only started the major goal (at least sticking to them) last year when I made the big decision to self-publish and market my books like a madman. The major determination and psychotic obsession with proving a lot of people wrong helps.

Especially when you get it on a daily basis. 😀

Taco lasagna sounds delicious. I do one of these weekly goal things with my therapist. They’re small ones, but I end up hitting them out of the ballpark because while my therapist wants me to take things slowly, my personality is naturally inclined to being an overachiever.

That’s a good thing with your goals, right? The Taco Lasagna is good. I use bison meat instead of beef actually.

Pretty much! At least to me. My therapist worries about burnout, but I suppose I’ll see. And bison meat is so good. I love bison burgers.

Me too. I don’t get them that often and the meat is expensive. This is probably the first time in 2 years that I’ve had it.

I think these sound like very respectable goals!

Yup. Too celebrate, my son woke up with a bad cold, which can lead to being sent home sick. Huzzah. *bangs head on wall*

But obviously you knew something like that would happen 😛

Well, he’s home sick with a cough, fever, sore throat, and full tantrum mode. Didn’t see all of that coming. He has a doc appointment at 1:15. This day has basically been shot down unless he naps and I get my 2 sections done.
