Baby laughs
Evolving into toddler cackles
Raising spirits
Like the melody of birdsong
Found in the deepest wood
Where cascading water
Pelts the stones below
In a mesmerizing symphony
Reminiscent of an orchestra
With a violin solo
That grips the heart
And controls its endless beats
(Entry into Poem A Day for April. Just started with a random noise and followed the images in my head for this one.)
About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Very lovely take, Charles.

Thanks. Although, I wrote it before the prompt went up. It’s entirely a coincidence. I sat staring at the prompt for a few minutes wondering if I should write another waterfall poem, but I couldn’t think of one.

Ah, lol. Well, happy coincidence, all the same. Still a gorgeous work, sir, prompting or not.
