Weekend of Progress

Due to the heavy traffic and noise of the house, I use the weekend to work on outlining stories and fine-tuning characters for my other series.  Legends of Windemere is already flushed out and all 15 books are outlined, so I am starting the process with my other series that I’ve dreamed up over the last 14 years.  Not having time to do book-writing, I kept myself occupied and sane with following every idea in my head.  So, I have at least 30 series and one-shot books in a pile of notebooks.

This weekend I finished the characters and basic book plots for a vampire series I had begun working on in 1999.  You will occasionally see the term ‘dawn fang’ in my books (they actually make an appearance in book 9) and this series shows the origin of them and how they find their niche in the world.  It is more of a violent action series and the main character is only considered a hero because he isn’t as evil as the main villain.  I’ll probably mention this ‘hero’ in my Wednesday post this week, but I finally finished all of the groundwork for this one.

Oddly enough, once I’m done with this series, I move on to one where the main character is a lovable halfling sorcerer with the common sense of a toddler.  Like the vampire, I played this little guy in a table-top role-playing game, so it’s nice to work with him again.  He’s been asleep for far too long.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
