Hero Teaser Debut: The 5th Champion! *Potential Spoilers After Read More*

This is the blog debut of the 5th Champion who will mentioned by name in future posts to allow me to continue marketing.  Now you’ll notice something different about this post.  I have it under all of the book categories and below you’ll see links to all 4 books:

Beginning of a Hero
Prodigy of Rainbow Tower
Allure of the Gypsies
Family of the Tri-Rune

What does this mean?  That the debut of this character can be in ANY of the published books.  I guess this means I’m also kind of a jerk, but this is how teasers work.  Enticing and curious.  Seriously though, I’ll be happy to be able to name this character from now on. Continue reading →

A few days ago I posted that, each Sunday during June, I would be hosting poets reading their work.  I’m happy to say,   thanks to some help,  Sunday Poets is now open and ready to accept links from poets reading their own original work.  The link page will accept your link until midnight Sunday,  June 1.

Hero Teaser Excerpt: Timoran Wrath the Noble Barbarian

Check out Timoran Wrath’s big debut in Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune available on Amazon Kindle for $2.99.  *Potential Spoilers.  Hard to really explain on this one.* (Reminder that tomorrow is the first named debut of the 5th champion who debuts in Family of the Tri-Rune. It will be marked as Spoilers, but I’ll be using the character’s name in future posts.  Sorry, but it’s getting really hard to market the books without naming the main characters.)

Sunday Poets – Call For Poets To Read

Call for poets to do a reading.

Ellespeth's avatarViews From A Poet

poetry-reading-thumb-500x638-36758Oh my goodness!  What am I doing?  So…

A week or so ago I posted that I wanted to host a Sunday Poetry Reading for each Sunday in June.  A few poets have expressed an interest and, thanks to   ‘Friday Fictioneers’,   I think I’ve discovered a way to make that actually happen 😛

I just opened an account with InLinkz.  Saturday morning I’ll post that poets can begin linking their readings to InLinkz. Here’s how this will work – if it at all works out:

1)  create a poetry reading on your blog.  There are several recording options available from the internet.  I use Audacity…it’s free.  And then there’s the Media Player one.  Both easy to use…I find this works best if I wear a headphone – clearer quality.

2)  on Saturday morning, I’ll post the link on my blog.  It’s a thing with a frog and will…

It’s here! Release day!!

3 New Releases!

Mishka Jenkins's avatarA Writer's Life For Me.

This is it… This is really it!

My books are out there, they have been released into the world.

And I think I’m about ready to explode with excitement and nervousness all at the same time 😀 Months and months of work and there they are… out for sale!!

Before doing all the release links and things, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone of the blogging and writing community.

When I started this journey, I wanted to connect with others who are going through the same process. And I did, but I also found so many great people who are supportive and genuine in their want to help others succeed in this tough world of books and writing! Every time I’ve asked for help or advice, you guys have been there!

Thank you!

Why Genre Hopping is your best friend

Excellent post on genre hopping.

Shannon A Thompson's avatarShannon A. Thompson

Shannon, here, to announce our last guest blogger. That’s right. Our last. I will be back on May 29, but today is a wonderful day, because Ryan Attard – author of The Legacy Series – is sharing his thoughts on genre hopping, something we both feel very passionately about. Ryan has blogged on here before, so you might be familiar with him, but if you’re not, check out his website and podcast by clicking the links.

…

This is one of those subjects that gets a bad rep just for daring to go against the dogma, as established by . . . who knows who, and who knows where. Personally, I dislike rules and constraints of any sort – the reason I am an artist is because I wish to express myself in a free manner, and trying to limit art in any way shape or form…
