Everyone has their own opinion on this subject. Some think you don’t need to get positive energy from others. Some think it’s essential. You have another group in the middle. So, let’s open up the floor:
- How important is hope to an artist?
- How would you describe the hope an artist might need?
- What would you do to instill hope in an artist?
About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
I think you definitely need to have hope. It is a tricky one though. Other people can support and encourage, but hope has to come from inside. It is a personal feeling, but affected by external events.

True. Hard to conjure hope when outside influences are determined to shatter it.

Do you find blogging still has an impact? I’ve been wondering about it for a while.

Without hope you feel like you are just screaming into an endless void. Creatives of any type create for the purpose of creation, expression and giving their lives meaning, but a little appreciation is motivating.

A little goes a long way. Sadly, I know that void very well.
