A few things came to mind before this post. First, I really couldn’t think of anything to post for today because I’m busy and burnt out. Second, I don’t really hear about Arbor Day as much as I did as a kid. Do people no longer like trees? Third, the memes for this holiday were a lot more hateful and political than I expected. Thought it would be easy to find stuff, but nope. So, enjoy the handful of fruits of my labor and go thank a tree for providing oxygen.
Indeed!

Cool. We only have an oak tree, maple tree, and some young conifer shrubs. Hurricane Irene took out most of the trees a year before Superstorm Sandy showed up.

we have a few oaks growing around our home. We had the ones closest to the house or leaning towards our house cut down. We live in Florida home of Florida Man and Hurricanes Alley.

I lived there for 4.5 years. Never had to go through a hurricane though. Tropical storms aplenty. Definitely ran into a bunch of Florida Men. For some reason, I don’t remember seeing many oaks during my time there.

lucky dude. I have been many scars and actually hits. Charlie went right over our house 2005. We were all terrified. One up us last year. Luckily no damage but lots of flooding in the streets and tress down. We were one of the lucky ones that still had power.

I was living down there from late 2007-early 2010. So, I missed Charlie and Katrina. There was still a lot of ‘help with Katrina damage’ stuff going on though. Definitely lost power in storms a bunch of times. We lived in an apartment complex, so there wasn’t much to do about it. The last storm I was down there for was pretty bad. The lightning hit a building in the complex next door and it went up in flames.

Ah, Sudowoodo! I’ve caught you but never once used you in Pokémon! 😊😊😊

They’re another Pokemon where the big move is mimic. As nice as that move is, it requires getting hit first. You have to survive that attack and then whatever comes after ‘mimic’ before you get to use what you copied.

Definitely have to level that thing up past the levels of Pokémon in the area! This is why I never really used Jigglypuff.

I never had a lot of patience with the games. I’d get bored with the grinding.

Nice thoughts. Kind of sad that everything else was politicized.

Sad and surprising. Didn’t think a tree holiday could be tainted.
