Every second counts
Ticking by
Building into minutes
Hours
And grander spans
We try to ignore
Many succeed
Others succumb
To the curse of being human
Aware of mortality
Fearing death
We cannot regain
The seconds lost
Or add more
Than we are allowed
All we can do
Is live
Within our dwindling time

About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
Excellent. But what prompted this subject?

General thoughts I have a lot of the time. Acutely aware of my own mortality and how I spend more time going through the motions of survival in this society than actually living.

I want to ask if time management gets any better with age.

Nope. Still a struggle to find time for everything.
