Songs That I Can’t Help, But Sing To

Since we’re going to see ‘Frozen’ on Broadway, I’ve been thinking about songs that I end up singing to if I hear them.  I can stop myself if I’m aware of it, but being caught unawares means I’m going to get nailed.   Here are a few and feel free to share your own in the comments:

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I have so many songs that I sing along to when they come on, it’s hard to list them all, let alone think of them off the top of my head. I will say that the list would be an eclectic mix of rock, country, oldies, and big band era songs, and would probably have some J-pop & J-rock songs from animes included. Bohemian Rhapsody is definitely on the list, though.

  2. Excellent post, Charles. I sing along to almost everything I know. Your songs are terrific. I especially like Queen

  3. I tend to listen mostly to playlists I made. This means I wind up singing along with most of them. Baby Shark isn’t on one of my lists, by the way.

I tend to sing along with anything I know. Singing is great for breathing.

This is a great selection! I’ve got too many must-sing songs to count, but four of your five are on my list.

Some real ear worms there! Any song by Queen or any song from Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road double album gets me singing.

  7. You’ve hit all mine! I also notice I sing along with ones that have a big, passionate rise like Evanescence’s original songs or even show tunes.
