Right out of the gate, you’re hit with a story that has a twist ending. This really set the tempo of the other stories, which kept me interested in the whole collection. Every story has something unique about it, which makes it really hard to do an overview of the collection. For example, ‘The Soup Ladle of Destiny’ is very humorous and rather lighthearted compared to some of the others. If I had to pick the one that really stuck with me it would be a tie between that and ’50 Gallon Drum’. Since many of these are micro-fiction, I can’t say much without spoilers and that would ruin all the fun since the author has knack for surprise endings.
I’d highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be entertained by several quick reads.

The first crush is over, but reviews are starting to show up. That should give it a second boost. I’m going to milk my Macabre Macaroni stories to promote it a bit too. How is your monster plan going for October?

So far, so good. I got a bunch of submissions that I put together and did the Windemere monster posts off the poll. I’m going to have that paranormal thriller run for the whole month too. Never edited it, but we’ll see what people think. Kind of like a blog only treat . . . or trick if it sucks. I’m having it go up at 11:55 PM EST from the 2nd to the 30th.

Sounds like you’ve been working pretty hard. Trick or treat is a great analogy for everything we put out. That Raven of doubt is more real than people think.

I felt the same way about the first one too. Be fun to play the intro of Twilight Zone before reading one of those.

Thanks, Nicholas. Glad you liked the biplane story. I just had to play with that ending, it was a chance to experiment, like the title says. Everyone seems to have a different favorite, and that’s a good sign. Glad you’re willing to post a review too.
