I . . . Yeah . . . Not really sure how to do this. Seriously, how do you review a book like this? Every page had me stopping to mutter ‘Wait. What!?’ because the author would do something that was so odd. Not a bad type of odd, but a ‘you gotta take a second look and succumb to a delayed laugh’ type of odd. This really went for spoof and never let go, which makes the story (am I allowed to call it that?) highly entertaining.
You can’t go into this thinking it will be serious because you’ll just hurt yourself. At this point, I’m probably only trying to make a decent word count here. Just read the book and see for yourself. It’s an experience.

The preview is fun. 😀

The whole thing is certainly a trip.

It is – especially for someone like me who wrote about pirates. It is a blast to see all the clichees highlighted. I just love those waggling eyebrows, and the first take where the poor wench falls overboard!

This is on my TBR list. I gotta ask, Is it a good experience?

I would say yes, but the trick is to not take it seriously at all. Definitely gave me a Monty Python vibe.

It’s not that long either, which is great. Read it in a little over an hour since a few distractions turned up.

It’s already part of my tbr, but your review just pushed it further up 🙂

It’s like an hour read too. I’m really appreciating works that I can read in an hour or two since my time is so limited.
