First: LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE BOOK TRAILER COMES OUT LATER TODAY!  So I would really appreciate any help in spreading that news around when it strikes later.

Now, I’m barely conscious while writing this.  Spent a lot of time in the sun during the toddler’s birthday party.  Have a fridge full of pizza and soda, but he had a lot of fun with his friend.  That’s the important part.  He ended the day as exhausted as the rest of us, which means we have a shot of a low-key Sunday.  Though I’ll be doing laundry and hopefully finishing the edits on The Compass Key.

In regards to The Compass Key, Jason is aiming to get the cover art to me early this week.  I will send the ‘COVER REVEAL’ email as soon as I get the info.  If things continue working on schedule then that event will be on August 6th and the debut will be on August 8th.  I’m still not sure if I’m doing a blog tour due to my schedule being too chaotic to keep an eye on things.  The ‘thank you’ posts would be a challenge to maintain with everything going on and I’m already unsure when I’ll be able to do the TWUBS Chat.  That might end up being late August unless I do it next weekend.  I’ll keep people posted on that, but it’s in the air.

Truthfully, a lot of stuff is going to be in the air.  Part of my situation has changed and I can’t go into it in public.  It’s both good and rough.  The rough part is that there will be many points where my blog activity is minimal.  I might be able to pull off mornings and evenings with a few things throughout the day.  Unfortunately, my limited time will have to focus more on writing, editing, and outlining.  It depends on a lot of factors, but much of this will be because the toddler will be out of school and I’ll be the lone parent in the house on weekdays.  If he keeps watching ‘Frozen’ once a day then that gives me a 2 hour window of work in the late morning/early afternoon.  That’s if I don’t go out with him to do stuff.  I’ll always have my iPhone, but reading a post while playing catch or blowing bubbles is not a possibility.  Trust me.  I tried and I was scolded for not playing the game.  So we’ll see what happens.

I had something else to say about goals I completed this week, but I’m so worn down that I can’t remember.  It’s going to be one of those weeks too.  So my fingers are crossed that I can get things done and completed.  It’s a challenging list too for this week:

  1. Finish editing and formatting The Compass Key.  Get everything ready for Cover Reveal and Debut.
  2. Push back and rearranged scheduled posts if more delays happen.
  3. Increase price of Prodigy of Rainbow Tower from 99 cents to $2.99.  I think it’s time I did this even though it’s tough choice.
  4. Finish outlining new Clyde story.
  5. Continue reading Fullmetal Alchemist manga.
  6. Continue reading Reave by C. Miller.
  7. Put thought into next story/series to outline.  Deciding between the ‘Demon Princess’ book or the ‘Chaos’ book.  Sadly, both involve spoilers and I can’t put them here.  Still once these two are outlined, I move on to another notebook since the last section here is to be saved for my finale.  Probably start making the list of characters that get chapters in that final book since it’ll be a big one.
  8. I could have sworn there was something else, but I’ll be damned if I remember what it is.  Maybe it was going over how things are going to change around here when certain events occur.  No real idea.  That does weigh heavily on my mind and I apology for bringing it up.  One of those things you really want to talk about, but you know you shouldn’t.  On that note, I’m going to see if I can get #4 out of the way before #1 starts up.
  9. Wait!  I remember now, which means I’m damned.  It was to start reading over Book 6, but I probably shouldn’t do that until Book 5 is in the clear and the marketing emails have been sent.  So this is a dropped goal that might turn up if I find myself resting near the print out and I’m too lazy to get to anything else.

AGAIN!  KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THE LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE BOOK TRAILER!

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I have to tell you . . . When I saw that you were reading my book, my brain sort of stopped working for a few minutes. (Not really kidding there.)
Anyway, it sounds like you’ve got a lot of stuff going on. Whatever it is that’s wearing you down (that you can’t/shouldn’t/don’t want to talk about) . . . I hope you’re alright.
And I’m REALLY crossing my fingers that all this book stuff works out the way you want it to. 🙂
