Just wanted to share what I woke up to. Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies has taken a hold on the Top 100 Lists. Good chance I’ll make it longer than 2 hours this time:
#81 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic
#84 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Sword & Sorcery
#96 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Fantasy > Epic
This isn’t counting any New Release Lists that I’m on. Fingers crossed that this gives another big boost. A thank you to everyone who purchased a book and is helping with the blog tour.
A major thank you to Ionia who has helped me and been ever ready to tranq me when I go panicky.

I finished it last night. Will get my review posted today. Fingers crossed for you

Thanks. Beginning of a Hero just went free for Read Tuesday, so I’m hoping that helps too. Still deciding if I want to be greedy and hope for my book to surpass Prodigy and get above #21.

It is really encouraging to see that your hard work is paying off Charles. I read somewhere that one of the keys to success is to just keep on writing! You are living proof of that. Truly well done. 🙂

Thanks. Finding time to do the writing is where the real challenge comes from.

Though the current snow might give me a chance between shoveling sessions.

Lucky you 😦 No snow here – you got record snow over there though haven’t you?
Honestly… is it just me that is super-stressed with all that this self-publishing lark involves??

In my area, this isn’t record snow. It’s going to be a few inches, but we’ve had feet at times. I only have to wander out with a shovel every few hours to make sure the walkways are clear.
It’s not just you on that. Though, it gets easier as you put out more books.

Yes, I suppose it does. Get easier that is. At the moment I am trying to figure out the whole marketing social network thing and then I need to make friends with Scrivener to get the books converted. Once I have done that then it is on to the paperback and hoping that CreateSpace plays nice… but like you say, once I have done all of those things a few times, they will be much less daunting. I love technology but it also scares the bejeebers out of me as well!

One thing that helps with the social media network is to turn your blog into a central hub. These way all of your blog posts go to all of your social media sites. If you’re going to be away then the scheduled posts can keep you active on all of your venues.

Thanks for that. I do have my blog linked to Facebook and Twitter and I think it goes to Goodreads as well. My problem is that I don’t actually get around to scheduling posts for when I am away. But I will try to get into more of a routine. 🙂

Linked In, Tumblr, and Google + can be attached too. I got really used to scheduling things, which results in a day of writing posts and then I can relax the rest of the week.

I’ve been meaning to ask for some months now … where exactly is Amazon’s New Release lists? I can’t seem to find it. lol

If you click on a genre list like ‘Epic Fantasy’, you’ll see on the right hand side a ‘Hot New Release’ area. Click on that to switch to new release.

I’d be disappointed if you didn’t. Besides, I may have taken cupcakes while wearing an Ionia costume and flipping off the cameras. So we’re even.
