Everything Going According to . . . What’s the Plan?

Here I am planning all the stuff for ‘Hype Week’ and getting all my advertising sites checked to make sure they’re still around.  Spending December 1st contacting all of them and getting the ball rolling on Allure of the Gypsies.  There’s just one problem:

What do I blog about once the hype is done?

My mind is struggling to find topics to write posts and poems about.  I’ll have the daily ‘Check out this Volunteer’ post for the blog tour, but I don’t want that to be it.  I also don’t want to post about my book every day.  News of its progress is one thing, but ‘Buy My Book’ posts get tedious.

So, I come to the 10’s of people who read my posts.  Is there any topic you wish for me to write about?  A question, a poem, or anything.  I’m curious if there’s a topic I’ve never thought about that people might bring up.

And lest we forget:

Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies released on December 1st

Still accepting volunteers for next Monday’s Cover Reveal and the December Blog Tour.

Finally, don’t forget to join in the November 30th fun for the Twubs Chat.  Ask any character of Legends of Windemere a question.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Oh… I have an idea. I might steal it from myself too. But after it all go to Wikipedia and on the home page they always have featured articles and on this day in history things. You could write about something there that seems interesting.

I get a lot out your posts on the mechanics of storytelling. You have a gift for taking a common fictional trope and breaking it down to see how it works. Things I like to see you tackle? Romantic leads, characters who betray other characters, side quests in fiction, “The Final Battle” as a cliche, reoccurring minor characters, traps and mazes in fiction,”McGuffins” and how to use them, and how to bring new readers up to speed on world background without boring old readers. That should keep you busy for a while.
